Unilever has committed itself to making all of its plastic packaging fully reusable, recyclable or compostable by 2025. Unilever is also working to increase the amount of recycled material used in its packaging. On the one hand, Lipton had solid experience in integrating sustainability into tea production. Lipton’s tea estates in Kericho (Kenya) and Mufindi (Tanzania) fully complied with Unilever’s standards of sustainable agriculture (refer to Exhibit 5 for a brief view of Unilever’s sustainable agriculture initiatives).
